茶の庭
掛川の老舗お茶屋によるショップ＆カフェ。茶畑の只中でお茶の世界に浸る。屋外の造作は茶畑との関係に変化を作りながらも、その伸びやかな魅力をいかすためにシンプルな形態とした。カフェに併設するテラス席や茶畑に囲まれたテーブル席以外は借景の茶畑や里山へと茶の畝が連続する。慣れ親しんだ景色が顕在化され地元住民にとってもお茶の魅力を再認識する場になったと思う。将来は茶摘みを体験しながら野点を楽しめるイベントも催される予定。

Tea Garden
Shop and a cafe by a long-established teahouse in Kakegawa. A place where one could immerse in the world of ‘tea’ amidst the tea field. In order to maintain the natural beauty and the flow of the tea garden, the outdoor space was designed in the simplest manner, while adding connections with the tea plantation. Apart from the terrace seats attached to the cafe and the table seating surrounded by the tea field, the ridges of the tea plant continue to flow into the scenery of the vast field and Satoyama. We believe that the actualization of this scenery has led local residents to rediscover the beauty of tea. In the future, there will be events where visitors can enjoy Nodate (tea ceremony) and experience tea picking.
