四日市市総合体育館
東京オリンピックのキャンプ地や三重国体に向けて既存の運動公園を改修した。想定されていた活用は社会情勢により制限を余儀なくされたが広域の緑地として地域住民の憩いの場になっている。アリーナに対峙する弓型プロムナードを骨格として大小広場や競技場がクラスター状に展開する。既存樹の位置を綿密にプロットしながら計画を重ね、広大なスケールの中にヒューマンスケールの居場所や多様なシーンが連続する。

Yokkaichi City General Gymnasium
A recreational park was renovated for the Tokyo Olympic campsite and the Mie National Sports Event. Although the plan was initially restricted due to social conditions, it has become a place for local residents to relax amidst the vast green-scape. With a bow-shaped promenade facing the arena, large and small open spaces and stadiums gather in clusters. After thoughtful planning, with the locations of existing trees in mind, a vast human-scale site and scenes were created.
