つくば市内の研究開発施設である。建物は用途上周囲へ閉じており敷地内も自由に立ち入れない。そのためランドスケープは地域や来訪者への表情と隣接するつくばエクスプレスからの見え方にフォーカスをした。プリンターを主力製品として扱う企業アイデンティティの視覚化と、平野と区画整理による広大なスケール感。屋外の機能は車寄せと駐車場および次期エリアへの拡張性である。これらを紙をメタファーとしたワンゼスチャーで構成し、プリンターによる多彩な色彩をカラーチャートの様にグラフィカルに配した植栽により表現した。

Development Center No.2
A research and development facility in Tsukuba city. The premises is closed to public and therefore, we focused on the expression toward visitors and the view from the adjacent Tsukuba Express site. A visualization of corporate identity that treats printers as its main product, and the vastness of the land were taken into consideration when designing. The outdoor space functions as a porte-cochere, parking lot and expandability to the area of the following phase. These were composed using plants which symbolizes various colors printed on a piece of paper.
